Laura, I did have a wonderful time. It was a once in a lifetime experience. And Bob and I could not have afforded the Evolution without the generous opportunity provided by you and your company. The food was excellent and the daily schedule was perfect. There was plenty of air conditioning and hot water for showers after our inland hikes. The crew of the Evolution was first class. They had a way of making all of the passengers feel as if we were the best group they had ever served.
The passengers on the ship were very interesting as well. We had a senator, a top exec from the World Health Organization, lots of seasoned travelers and many other good travel companions. We spent some time one day in Guayaquil with one of the crew and his family. It made our stay even more special. We loved the snorkeling. Bob got to play with a seal underwater ... he and the seal would dive down and up together. We did some some black tip sharks and I didn't freak out! The photography was UNBELIEVABLE. With birds, marine iguanas and seals standing still as you walk by it is easy to take incredible pictures.
I also wanted to tell you how classy the web site you built for our itinerary was. I have traveled alot and have never seen a service provider more elegant and classy! Thank you again for all of your hard work. We'll be contact you again when we travel to Costa Rica or cruise the Amazon. VERY appreciatively, Betty and Bob N.

Mauricio, sorry it took me some time to get back to you- its taken some time for be to get back on the time zone and into real life. Our vacation in Costa Rica was perfect. The rental car worked out great - no complaints with the car or the company.
We also took them up on their 24 hr roadside service and had to use it when we locked our keys in the car (oops!) in Manuel Antonio. They came quickly and helped us out - overall great service from the car company. Lands in Love was really nice. It was totally secluded, which was perfect for our first night. The room had a gorgeous view and a humming bird feeder on the porch! Their food is great, and the staff is really friendly and helpful.
We did canopy there, actually and it was a bit expensive but it was a great experience. We had 3 guides, one of whom took pictures and made a disc for us after. we had a great time and its an experience i don't know if I'll ever get again! Arenal Paraiso was my favorite hotel by far. Our room was gorgeous, and there was fruit in the room waiting for us. The view from the room was front and center to the volcano. The pools were gorgeous and it was really nicely located - outside of the main strip, but close enough for dinner and nightlife.
I think I could have stayed in this hotel for a full week before moving on. Montana Monteverde was my least favorite hotel. The room was actually nice, with a nice view and a lot of privacy but the hotel grounds looks like a construction site. There were also problems with the plumbing, which wasn't great since we were there for 2 nights.
Casitas Eclipse in Manuel Antonio was fantastic. It was close to the beach and also close to some fun restaurants and nightlife. The staff was extremely helpful, the pools were beautiful, the grounds were well kept and the rooms were comfortable. We felt like they built the hotel without disturbing the natural surroundings - with lizards and butterflies and coconut trees all around the pool.
We loved this hotel. So that was our trip. It was a perfect week and thanks to you and Latin Discover, we were totally relaxed the entire time because we knew that we never had to worry about our plans. From the car to the hotels and everything in between, we knew that it was handled well, so that we could just enjoy our vacation. Also, I want to thank you for the unique, organized system you used with the websites. When we printed the pages of information, we had everything we needed from vouchers, to emergency information, phone numbers and driving instructions.
I can't think of a more convenient system for a better vacation. I look forward to the next time I can get to Latin America - and plan on recommending you to anyone I meet that is coming to the region. Thank you for everything. Best regards, Shira

Mauricio- THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! I know that I speak for both Lata and I when I say we had the most wonderful Peruvian Adventure. I was VERY impressed at how seamless the trip was. You did an amazing job. We are both so very happy with how things turned out. From our arrival in Lima to our departure. The transfers were all perfect and everyone with Lima Tours and The Orient Express Hotels was outstanding in their service to us. I think that the highlights of the trip were the Orient Express Hotels and the Hiram Bingham Train. Machu Picchu itself was an amazing sight and a wonderful place to spend almost two whole days.
I was also excited to find out that we were able to stay at the Sol y Luna Lodge - we had a wonderful bungalow and relaxing massages under a full moon. The only two things we would have changed would to have had more "private tours" and we would have preferred to have spent the last night at the Monasterio in Cuzco, which we loved, rather than the bland Hotel Libertador. I know that you worked hard to make that change, and in the end even the Libertador was fine. We have already spread your praises amongst other travelers we were with and I told many co-workers and family about your excellent service. Thank you for helping us have a trip of a lifetime. I cannot tell you how great it was. I would love to give you specifics about any portion of the trip- let me know. Thanks again!! Damion Sanchez

Rental car arrangements in Costa Rica were perfect again! As for Panama, we are set. We didn’t end up using your contact b/c everything is covered in a package deal. As always, thanks so much for your help! I’ll be in touch the next time I am heading south! Until then…

We loved every minute of our trip and every detail that you worked was exactly as you explained. All of the arrangements were good. My experience with Latin Discover was fantastic. Mauricio was prompt, polite and very helpful. He answered all of my questions and was very quick with following up on anything. What impressed me most was the extreme effort and diligence he took to find us in San Jose- we had made the car reservations under one name and independently made the hotel reservations under another- I can't believe he managed to find us! Great work

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you what a wonderful representative of your company you have in Mauricio. All the way through the arrangements & even now, 2 weeks after returning home, he is still doing everything possible to make sure our trip was successful. Please excuse any typing errors because I am writing this with only one arm. The reason for this is because the day after I arrived in Costa Rica, I broke my arm. I then lost my camera !!! It was a really difficult time for me in a foreign country. However, Mauricio has stayed in touch with me all through this experience, has located my camera, & is making arrangements to send it back to me. It is very important to me that you recognize Mauricio as the excellent representative that he is. Linda B.

It was a pleasure working with Mauricio at Latin Discover. The service he provided in customizing our itinerary for Costa Rica and booking all hotels and ground transportation exceeded our expectations. My husband and I were very pleased with all the arrangements and we would definitely use Latin Discover in future travels to Latin America.

I have worked with Mauricio Guzman several times in the past and would think of working with no one but him in the future. He is excellent! Not only is he very reliable, educated, and rapid, but he personally cares about his clients and has helped me in so many ways!

Mauricio, We had a wonderful time - you are lucky to live in such a beautiful country! Everything worked out very smoothly - we enjoyed each of the hotels and all of the transfers went off smoothly. We really had no bad experiences (except for when my 7 yr old stepped on a wasps nest!!) and I hope to come back, especially to Monteverde! Thanks for your help, Roberta

Sandra, The same gentleman who picked us up when we arrived also took us back to the airport. He was very nice. We did have a pleasant flight home. The breakfast on American Airlines was good and generous. Besides the misunderstanding about the transfer, we did enjoy the trip. The volcano was fun to see and the hot springs were a treat.
We had good guided tours and saw lots of monkeys, sloths, caymans, banana trees, and beautiful flowers. We liked all of the hotels and meals. As you know, the Hotel Parador was spectacular. The food and the suite that we stayed in was wonderful. I do have many friends who are interested in traveling to Costa Rica and I will recommend you to my friends. Thanks again. I will send you some photos by email next week when we get them organized. Cathy
